Alright, this is Derpy from MLP: FiM...

She appeared, spoke, and interacted with Rainbow Dash, one of the mane six, during the show.

Derpy's fans were REALLY happy to see her.

But, others found her OFFENSIVE.

They said she was an insult to people with mental disabilities, and that her name was a slang for mentally disability.

'Derp,' is a term for MESSING SOMETHING UP, REGARDLESS OF MENTAL ABILITY.

I HAVE DERP MOMENTS EVERY SINGLE DAY. EVERYONE DOES.

So, Hasbro is either going to change her name and voice actress, or just git rid of her for good...

It's time to stand up! Let's make sure Derpy stays!

I agree with you on all this, and I can't believe people find Derpy Hooves offensive.
Derpy Hooves is one of my favorite ponies on MLP: FiM. Hasbro shouldn't do this to Derpy.

If ANYONE should be offended by Derpy, it would be me. I have had eye problems all my life (I have a glass eye) and have been teased MERCILESSLY as a child because of it. A lot of harm was brought upon me by my eyes.

However, Derpy is a beautiful, fun and caring pony. She has become my favorite. I squealed when she spoke and was so happy! I felt I had a comrade in the Brony community.

Derpy is not an offensive name in the least. A Derp is a type of Oopsie.

My son also has Asperger's and a very bad speech impediment. He adores Derpy also.

I'm sorry about what those people did to you during your childhood. I also hope that everything is getting better as well.

Exactly! Derpy is the most amazing pony in the show. Her name isn't offensive, at all, and her voice is adorable.

I'm glad you and your son enjoy Derpy, and let's all hope she stays on the show.
